It is no surprise to people that life is stressful. In fact the every day lives we lead can be very much a weight around our shoulders. Just getting to and from work in rush hour traffic is so much of a pain that people all too often go off the deep end and act crazy. Road rage and other things are a direct reflection of the countries “keeping up with the Jones’s” mentality.
Doctors specializing in mental health and prescriptions for drugs like valium and other sedatives are on the rise and it is largely due to the life style that we have chosen to try and live. The sad part of all of this is that it is avoidable by making a little change in the way that we think and the choices that we make that often have nothing to do with stress.
Watch funny shows at night instead of the nightly news for example. Or skip the caffeine laden soft drinks in favor of good old water. There are a plethora of health foods out there that promote a less stressful and healthier life style. These are conscious decisions that we make each and every day of our lives.
Little things like burning an aroma candle or other calming candle at home after a long day can go a long way towards making the bad experiences at work seem like a distant and not too important memory rather quickly.
Life can get extremely hectic as well if you are looking to get a Green Card Replacement or to get your very first Green Card. The pressure of taking a US citizenship exam can be almost overwhelming to a lot of people. So the inexpensive help that a calming candle can offer seems like a small price to pay to make things easier on yourself.
Day to day problems can be made to simple go away if you allow yourself to let it happen rather than to sit and dwell on the things that made it a bad day. Focus on the positive things at work in your life and sit back and enjoy things like the kids playing, the sound of a crackling fire or the beautiful sunset that is provided free of charge every day to us if we simply walk out the door and face west near dusk.
Life does not have to rule us. We can chose to let things cause us the stress or we can choose to take control of what is happening and control the bad things as best as we can. It is not always a popular thing to do. It is not always an easy thing to do. This is usually due to the conditioning process that wee learned as we were growing up. The way that we act today is a direct result of how we saw our parents handle situations when we were younger often seep into our adult lives and take control over how we do things.
